Mrs. Loghry was operating the Goldenrod Motel. She suffered a severe stroke a couple of weeks ago, and had been hospitalized since. Read More	Mrs. Edna Loghry of Geneva passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, August 8, 1963, at the age of 56 years, 11 months and 22 days. Mrs. Loghry was operating the Goldenrod Motel. She suffered a severe stroke a couple of weeks ago, and had been hospitalized since. Edna Elizabeth Loghry, daughter of Nellie and Ernest Grubbs, was born August 17, 1906, at Atlanta, Ga. At the age of 15, she came to Tobias, Neb., to make her home with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. George Petteys. She was united in marriage to Claude A. Loghry of Geneva, Neb., December 17, 1927. For several years they resided in Frontier County, Nebraska. Later they returned to Fillmore County, where they continued to reside. To this union were born four children, Claudette Lee, Carolyn Fay, who died in infancy, Alvin Leroy and Carol Lynn. Her husband, Claude, passed away in November, 1955. She is survived by her three children, Claudette Lee, Alvin LeRoy and Carol Lynn, all at home; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Saunders of Winder, Ga.; a brother, Alfred Hudson, of California and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Kritner-Farmer Funeral Home at Geneva at 2 p.m., Monday, August 12, with Rev. Clifford Bahr officiating. Two musical selections, “The Old Rugged Cross,” and “Beyond the Sunset” were rendered by Ralph Reemts, with Mrs. Willard Foster serving as accompanist. Pallbearers were John M. Carl, Ora Chaney, Roy George, Don Rust, George Schropfer, and George Volkmer. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal August 15th, 1963 page 9.
