Mrs. McDaniel was born in Cain, South Carolina on August 1st, 1922. She was a daughter of the late Taylor Devoe Belflower and the late Molly Edwards Belflower, and was a widow of her loving late husband, Laris Dalmon McDaniel, Sr. As a graduate of Coker College in Hartsville, Mrs. McDaniel enjoyed an early career as a mathematics teacher at Hannah High School in Pamplico. Read More	HUNTERSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA: Mrs. Edna Eloise Belflower McDaniel, 89, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012. Mrs. McDaniel was born in Cain, South Carolina on August 1st, 1922. She was a daughter of the late Taylor Devoe Belflower and the late Molly Edwards Belflower, and was a widow of her loving late husband, Laris Dalmon McDaniel, Sr. As a graduate of Coker College in Hartsville, Mrs. McDaniel enjoyed an early career as a mathematics teacher at Hannah High School in Pamplico. After her marriage, she lovingly devoted herself to home and family. Mrs. McDaniel had full faith in the Bible's promised hope of everlasting life. As a wonderful cook, she enjoyed preparing special meals for family and guests. Mrs. McDaniel had a talent for creating elegant floral arrangements, too. Mrs. McDaniel especially enjoyed needlecraft and crochet projects and delighted in giving handmade gifts to loved ones. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. The family wishes to thank the special caregivers of Hospice of Lake Norman for the palliative care they delivered to Mrs. McDaniel during her lengthy illness. Mrs. McDaniel's surviving family includes her four children, Laris McDaniel, Jr. (Connie), of Valrico, Florida, Vicki Hummel, of Salisbury, North Carolina, Warren McDaniel (Barbara); and Donna McDaniel, of Huntersville, North Carolina; her eleven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. McDaniel will have visitation from two until three o'clock p.m., Friday, May 25th, 2012, in the funeral home. Funeral services for Mrs. McDaniel will be held at three o'clock p.m., Friday, May 25th, 2012, in the Brockington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial and committal services will follow the funeral in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Pamplico. Brockington Funeral Home, Lake City, is in charge.
