Porter of Gaffney, was called home to her heavenly Father on Monday, June 29, 2015, at her home. She was the beloved wife of W.A. “Bill” Wilson for 62-plus years and a loving mother and grandmother. Edna will be remembered by her friendly smile and caring concern for all. She was a longtime member of Taylors First Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Brian Wilson (Connie); daughters, Cindy Clemmons (Don) and Rhonda Capparelli (Danny); seven grandchildren, Chris Wilson, Marc Wilson, Jessica Clemmons, Daniel Clemmons (Maggie), Sara Capparelli, Wilson Capparelli and Anthony Capparelli; three sisters, Alma Richardson, Ola Vess and Shirley Mabry; and a sister-in-law, Anita Painter. She was predeceased by one sister, Mae Phillips, and two brothers, Don Porter and Sanders Porter. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Taylors First Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Dr. Jimmie Harley. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at Taylors First Baptist Church Gathering Space. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Taylors Free Medical Clinic, 400 W. Main St., Taylors, SC 29687. The family wishes to express their appreciation to special friends, Betty Stephenson, Renee Wilson and Donna Pickett, Stephanie Ortiz, Shane O’Sheals and Beth McCallister as well as hospice nurses, Ranee McCall, Angela Arledge and Lutheran Hospice service for their loving, compassionate care for Edna.
