Description	:	Edna “Grace” (Langley) Samson, 89, of Sioux City, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. A visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. A private family service will be held near the end of the visitation. The service will be livestreamed, a link will be available on this website. Read More	Edna “Grace” (Langley) Samson, 89, of Sioux City, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Grace was born at home on the family farm on October 23, 1931, the daughter of Herbert A. Sr. and Lowell Emma (Clemens) Langley. She lived her entire life in Sioux City and the surrounding areas. She graduated from Central High School in 1949. On July 1, 1951, she married Paul A. Samson. Grace was a stay at home mom until her youngest child started school full time. She went to work at Scotti’s Drive In and worked there until their closing in 1996. She then worked at Valentino’s Restaurant until her retirement in 2000. Grace enjoyed reading, playing bingo, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Our mother will be greatly missed. Grace is survived by her 8 children, Linda (Larry) Hummel of Cornville, AZ, Karen (Mark) Rohde of Omaha, NE, Kathy White of Sioux City, Pauline Deiterman of Sioux City, John (Deb) Samson of Mitchell, SD, Elizabeth (Rip) Watterson of Sioux City, Maureen Obregon of Sioux City, Barbara Limon of Sioux City; 26 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; special family friend Jo Kunkel and her family; brother Herbert A. (Nancy) Langley Jr. of Plymouth County; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Gwen Walker and Maxine Whitehead. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Deiterman, John White, Josh Van Beek, Tanner Nuno, Tony Guzman, and Tristan Flores. A special thanks to Care Initiative Hospice.
