Adams Sun, Bingen, WA., May 28, 1953, page 3 EDNA TRESENRITER EXPIRES SUDDENLY Fully expecting to be released from Goldendale's hospital last weekend, Mrs. Ira Tresenriter, 41, of White Salmon expired of a heart attack at 11 p.m. Wednesday, May 20. Suffering from muscular pain, she had been taken to Goldendale by her husband and son the previous Monday. Since they had no reason to believe she was seriously ill, they turned to White Salmon where police relayed the news of her sudden death. Funeral services were held at Gardner's Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, the Rev. James Duffy officiating. Interment was in the IOOF. cemetery. The deceased was a member of the First Christian Church of Centerville. Edna Grace Tresenriter was born at Centerville, Wn., Feb. 2, 1912. She was the youngest daughter of William and Lulu St. Lawrence. Her mother died when Edna was a year old, and grandmother, by whom she was reared, in 1948. Edna was crippled in infancy by a fall which broke her back. She never considered this a handicapped, nor did others who knew her best. She was exceptionally cheerful and alert to opportunities to help others. In 1933 she moved to White Salmon and a year later was married to Ira Tresenriter. He and their only son, Millard, 18, survive her; as do two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Esther) Boyer and Mrs. Floyd (Vera) Boyer, both of White Salmon; two aunts, Mrs. E.E. Kelley of Roosevelt and Mrs. H.L. Dooley of Centerville, three nephews and three nieces.
