Edna was born November 25, 1923 in Ottumwa to John and Wilhemina Greene McLaughlin. She married Edward L. Jones May 8, 1942 in Ottumwa; he precedes her in death. She married John C. West December 23, 1967 in Ottumwa; he also precedes her in death. Edna was a member of the Albia Road Baptist Church and was a graduate of Ottumwa High School and Indian Hills Community College, earning her L.P.N. from the nursing program. Edna is survived by one daughter, Jana Allemeier; one son, Edward L. Jones, Jr.; three step-sons, Jim West, Ronnie West and John West; also surviving are 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vivian Rains and Jean Neal; and one brother, Bill Neal. Edna is preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a daughter, Marilyn Brisendine; and a step-daughter, Delores Davidson. Visitation will begin Friday, December 16, 2005, at the Johnson Funeral Chapel with the family present from 4-7 p.m. Friday evening. Funeral service will be I p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2005, at the Albia Road Baptist Church, with Rev. Shawn Shefte officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the family. Johnson Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
