Description	:	Daughter of Frank and Amanda (Scheer) Kruger on January 27, 1909 on a farm northwest of Arlington. She was baptized in St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington, and later on April 22, 1922 she was confirmed in that same church. She attended a small country school for a few years, later attending St. Paul's Lutheran School north of Arlington. She was baptized in St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington, and later on April 22, 1922 she was confirmed in that same church. She attended a small country school for a few years, later attending St. Paul's Lutheran School north of Arlington. She was a student in the Arlington High School for one year, then attended St. John's Lutheran College in Winfield, Kansas. On September 1, 1933, Edna was married in Chicago to William J. 'Bill' Sommers of Fremont. And Fremont has been their home. Bill was the former longtime general manager of the Fremont Dept. of Utilities. Edna worked in the office of Dr. George Haslam for 12 years. She had also been a volunteer at the hospital in Fremont for many years. And she enjoyed playing bridge. Edna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and it's Ruth Circle. Edna was preceded in death by her husband in May of 2008, and by a son James, a sister and 2 brothers. Survivors are: daughter - Judith Ann and husband Mike Olson of Boone, Iowa 10 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren 8 great, great grandchildren sister - Norma Goesling of Fremont
