Mrs. MAIRET was born Dec. 1, 1911, in Keokuk County, the daughter of Minor Mairet and Lillus DAVIS ADAMS. She married Henry Paul MAIRET Jan. 30, 1934, in Ottumwa. She graduated from Packwood High School in 1930 and attended Iowa State Teachers College. She farmed near Batavia, and later moved to Fairfield. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, cooking, sewing and entertaining in her home. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and also was a 4-H leader, a Bible school and Sunday school teacher, a member of Cross Lanes Club and later was involved in a circle of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one daughter, Janet BOLEY and husband Carl of Burlington; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter; 10 brothers and sisters.
