Description	:	Edna Mae Haskins Whitmore, the daughter of Lester Warren and Neola Wealthy Reynolds Potter, was born May 14, 1931, in Racine, WI. She was baptized at the Exira Christian Church, Exira, IA. She attended rural school "Hamlin No. 1" and Viola Center, then helped operate the family farm. Edna married Edwin Haskins in 1948. They lived on and operated several different farms in Audubon County, Iowa. Edwin died in October of 1961. In 1962, she married Fred Haskins. Besides being a homemaker, Edna sorted corn, worked at the Salem Nursing Home in Elk Horn, Iowa, waitressed at Elk Horn and the T-Bone Club in Audubon. Fred died in July 9 of 1989. Edna lived with her son, Lester, for a year and then lived with her daughter, Lori, and then with her son Randy in 1999. Preceding her in death in addition to her husbands, were her daughter Pam Haskins; her grandchildren: Nicholas Christensen and Amber Davis; her parents; her brothers and sister-in-law, Harold and Gladys Potter and Gilbert Potter; her brothers-in-law: Earl Hick and Lyle Lynn. Edna is survived by seven children: Richard and wife, Joanne Haskins of Woodbine; Craig Haskins of Kentucky; Kathy Davis of Miami, FL; Randy and wife, Megan Haskins of Arthur; Marsha and husband, Cosme Marinez of Oceanside, CA; Lori and husband, Rod Christensen of Dunlap; Lester and wife, Kathy Haskins of Seattle, WA; 21 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; her brother and sisters: Irene Hick of Guthrie Center, Lois Linn of Audubon; Orville and wife, Hazel Potter of Mitchellville, and others.
