She was the wife of James Henry Eckenrode, her husband of 17 years. Born March 9,1944, in Gettysburg, Pa., she was a daughter of the late John Jacob and Anna Black Tressler. Mrs. Eckenrode was a member of Friends Creek Church of God, Sabillasville. She was a member of the Living Word Ministries and the Ladies Guild of the Living Word. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Richard L. Forrest and wife Linda of Frederick, and Daniel P. Forrest and wife Pamela of Emmitsburg; one daughter, Mary L. Stouter and husband Robert of Emmitsburg; seven grandchildren, Ricky Forrest, Melinda Forrest, Johnnie Forrest, Ashley Rorrback, Crystal Forrest, Annie Stouter and Robert Stouter; four brothers, Melvin Tressler of Kentucky, Daniel Tressler of Thurmont, Wilbur Tressler of Foxville and Joseph Tressler of Taneytown; and three sisters, Victoria Eyler of Sabillasville, Naomi Baker of Waynesboro and Lula Turner of Emmitsburg. Mrs. Eckenrode was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Forrest; four brothers, Calvin Tressler, Paul Tressler, Mearl Tressler and Clarence Tressler; and one sister, Sarah Patterson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont. The family will receive friends there on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Warren Rice and the Rev. Frank Turner officiating. Interment will be in Friends Creek Cemetery, Sabillasville.
