She grew up in the Volin area ad attendedd Bluff Center Country School. She moved to Yankton in the early 1930s, returned to Volin for a short time, and then settled in Yankton in 1981. She was married to Melvin Diltz on December 4, 1926, in Yankton. She was a member of the Volin Ladies Aid, the Martha Circle at St. John's Lutheran. Worthwhile Birthday Club And a charter member of the Birthday Club in Volin. Survivors are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Allen (Leona) Smith, St. Paul, Minnesota and Mrs. Marvin (Ardis) Sayler, Yankton; a son, Neal Diltz, Cosegrade, California; 11 grandchildren and 8 great greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death her parents, a sister, Bertha Nelson; five brothers, Henry, Andrew, Martin, Olin and Carl.
