Description	:	Edna Marie (Wulf) Fixemer was born May 9, 1915, to Claus Henry Wulf and Caroline Sophia (Thole) Wulf near Ohiowa, and passed away March 30, 2003, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, at the age of 87 years. Read More	Edna Marie (Wulf) Fixemer was born May 9, 1915, to Claus Henry Wulf and Caroline Sophia (Thole) Wulf near Ohiowa, and passed away March 30, 2003, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, at the age of 87 years. She was one of four children in the family. Edna received her education in Ohiowa. After her graduation from Ohiowa High School, she attended Midland College. She taught in rural schools in the Ohiowa area for a while and then in the elementary grades in Hildreth, Brady, North Platte and Alliance. She was united in marriage to Virgil Fixemer on Christmas Eve in 1943. To this union four children were born; Gerald, James, Richard and Virginia. Besides her family she enjoyed gardening, quilting and working with the young. She was employed at the Youth Development Center for nine years. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; her infant daughter, her parents, Claus Henry and Caroline; sister, Mabel; and brothers Edwin Wulf and Arthur Wulf. She is survived by her sons, Gerald of Strang, James and wife Cynthia of Denton, and Richard and wife Susan of Sutton; grandsons, David and Sally of Omaha and great-granddaughter, Paige; Jeremy and Christina of Chicago; and great-granddaughter, Zoe; Joseph of Colorado Springs and granddaughter Julie of Chardron. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva, on Thursday, April 3, 2003, with Msgr. Ivan Vap officiating. Musical selections for the service were "The Lord's Prayer," "How Great Thou Art" and "In the Garden." Casket bearers were Robert Wulf, Ron Wulf, Clarence Nun Jr., Morley Most, Gary Saltzman, and Fred Nunns Jr. Honorary bearers were David Fixemer, Jeremy Fixemer, Jason Fixemer, Joseph Fixemer, Julie Fixemer, Zoe Fixemer, and Paige Fixemer.
