Mr. Ewel Vaughan, pastor of the Nelson Christian Church, officiated at the funeral and burial services. Edna Maude Huffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David E. Huffman, was born on a farm near Nelson, Nebr., July 29, 1885. Her entire life was lived in this community with the exception of a year or two in Kansas. Edna was baptized and became a member of the Christian Church in her early childhood. Edna lived with her mother and was her constant companion until her mother passed away in 1943. Since then she had lived alone as long as her health permitted. The last few years she was an invalid and lived in the state hospital at Hastings. She leaves some cousins and many friends who will remember her as a good friend and neighbor. She was laid to rest beside her mother in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
