Description	:	Edna Pullman was born May 17, 1926, to Jerry and Matilda Hofer Pullman near Onida, South Dakota. At the age of two years, she moved with her family to Beadle County where she attended Ackerman School. Edna was baptized October 3, 1940, at Bethel Church near Carpenter. On March 5, 1944, she was united in marriage to Harris Hofer at Emmanuel Mennonite Church in rural Doland. Read More	Edna Pullman was born May 17, 1926, to Jerry and Matilda Hofer Pullman near Onida, South Dakota. At the age of two years, she moved with her family to Beadle County where she attended Ackerman School. Edna was baptized October 3, 1940, at Bethel Church near Carpenter. On March 5, 1944, she was united in marriage to Harris Hofer at Emmanuel Mennonite Church in rural Doland. They farmed east of Doland for thirty years and then built a home in Doland where they lived for twenty years. Edna helped Harris with farming. They were custom harvesters and Edna cooked many meals in their travel trailer, carrying them out to the field for the crew. She also worked at James Valley Nursing Home in Redfield. Following Harris' death in 1996, Edna moved to the Wilson Apartments in Huron. She attended Bethesda Church in Huron. She enjoyed needlework, gardening, and camping with her family. She played many favorite hymns by ear. Edna was an avid reader and had a large collection of books. Her family loved the special German dishes she prepared. Her family and friends were blessed by her prayers on their behalf. She had been a resident at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home since October following a hospitalization. Edna is survived by two children, Sonya Crook, of Surprise, AZ , and Rich (Lindsey) Hofer, of Sioux Falls, SD; four grandchildren, Lamont (Erika) Crook, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Troy Crook, of Crystal, MN; Christopher Hofer, of Fond du Lac, WI; and Noel (Peder) Hansen, of Breckenridge, CO; her two precious 17 month-old great-granddaughters, Ellie Hansen and Vivienne Crook; two sisters, Esther Epp, of Grand Island, NE and Josephine 'Josie" Stephens, of Lakeland, FL; three brothers-in-law, Paul P. (Ruth) Hofer, of Huron, Elgin Hofer, of Huron, and DeWayne "Butch" (Karen) Hofer of Tea; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Hofer, and Delcie Hofer, both of Huron; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Rev. Menno Pullman; an infant brother; three brothers-in-law, George Epp, OT Stephens and Joe P.
