Read More	Mrs. Keil was born at Mt. Carroll, Carroll county, Illinois. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Schriener. There were eight children in the family. Mrs. Keil being next to the youngest. When about sixteen years of age, Mrs. Keil and her sister united with the Evangelical church. September 5, 1906, Miss Schriener was united in marriage to Conrad Keil of Fairmont, Nebraska. They located on a farm northeast of Fairmont, where they resided until 1920, when they moved into town on account of Mrs. Keil's health. To this union two children were born. Both have preceded their mother to the Better Land; also her parents, three sisters and one brother. There are three brothers living, W.F., Henry K. and Charles G. all of Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Mrs. Keil's health began to fail in 1913. For the past eighteen years she has been confined to her wheel chair, able only to use one hand with which she was able to feed herself until about six months ago, when she became entirely helpless. Soon after two o'clock Friday morning, March 24, there came release from pain and suffering and her triumphant spirit entered into that glorious fellowship of the living Christ and the loved ones gone before. She passed on at the age of forty-nine year, one month and fourteen days. The sudden passing, last June of her younger sister, Mrs. Will Keil had been a very great shock. During these years of suffering, both she and her husband have manifested a patient and triumphant spirit which has given constant evidence that they both shared a strength not of man. A few days before Mrs. Keil passed away, several time she shared the inspiration of the Eternal and with a smile that comes not from land or sea, she said, "God is good." Truly the prophet said, "They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles." Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, March 26, at the Federated church, the minister, Rev. Isaac Cassel, officiating. Miss Emma Olson, Miss Mildred Helvey, Oliver Moul and W.E. Black sang songs which Mrs. Keil had greatly enjoyed over the radio. Miss Doris Helvey was the organist at the service.The pallbearers were Chester Bridgman, Warren Malsbary, O. Horton, Peter Lovegrove, W.E. Plock and Lewis Real. Interment was made in the Fairmont cemetery.
