She was the widow of Willie Matthews and daughter of the late William Thomas and Minnie May Puckett. She was a Baptist. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Whitehead of Union; two sons, Donald Matthews of the home and Jerry Matthews of Spartanburg; two sisters, Margaret Murphy of Union and Dot Childress of Jonesville; two grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the home, 211 Keenan Ave., and also at the home of a sister, Margaret Murphy, 105 Partridge Road, Union. Graveside...
