Nomsen, 95, of Wall Lake, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 25, 1989, at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Wall Lake, with Pastor Jerold Irvin officiating. Mrs. Nomsen passed away on September 22, 1989, at Shady Oaks Nursing Home in Lake City. Organ music was provided by Roland Erickson. Mrs. Chris Groth and Mrs. Jeryl Reiter were in charge of the floral arrangements. Edna Viola Nomsen was born April 1, 1894, at Carroll, Iowa, daughter of James and Ida Carroll. On June 7, 1911, she was united in marriage to Louis Norman Nomsen, at Colorado Springs, CO., and to this union three daughters were born: Myra, Londa and Maxine. She was a restaurant manager and cook for many years, retiring in 1958. She is survived by two daughters, Londa Mae Wiebers of Arcadia and Maxine Helen Heidenreich of Wall Lake; six grandchildren: Betheane Cormier, Myrna McCrea, Margaret Hatch and Linda Schilling, James Heidenreich and Thomas Heidenreich; 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Louis; one daughter, Myra Pauline Jones; two brothers, Leonard and Martin; and six sisters: Mable, Bernice, Henrietta, Mae, Rose and Mildred.
