Plymouth County Pioneer succumbs to dsease which killed daughter Edward Herman was born in Bretstown,N.J.,Augu. 6,1863 and died at his home in Burke,S.D.,Jan. 8,1927 at the age of 63 yrs.,5 mons and 2 days. Mr. Herman came to Plymouth County with his parents abt 1881. On New Year's Day,1889 he was united in marriage to Miss. Emma Stinton. To this union four children were born,1 daughter and three sons. Mrs. Herman preceded him in death abt 25 yrs ago. Mr. Herman,by help of his daughter Myrtle,kept his family together until the boys all married and about 8 or 9... Read More	E. A. Herman Died in So. Mr. Herman came to Plymouth County with his parents abt 1881. On New Year's Day,1889 he was united in marriage to Miss. Emma Stinton. To this union four children were born,1 daughter and three sons. Mrs. Herman preceded him in death abt 25 yrs ago. Mr. Herman,by help of his daughter Myrtle,kept his family together until the boys all married and about 8 or 9 years ago,with two of his sons,he moved to Burke,S.D.,where he lived until his death. About the middle of December he was stricken with Pneumonia and on the 20th of December he became very low and they-sent for the children who lived nnear Adaville and in driving across the country Myrtle caughter a cold and contracted pneumonia.Mr. Herman rallies and Myrtle preceded him in death.Although he rallied for a time his vitality was swept away and left him in such a weakened condition that the end came about 4 O'clock Saturday afternoon,Jan. 8. He leaves to mourn his departure three sons,Elmer and Lester of Burke,and Harvey of Adaville. Myrtle was laid to rest just two weeks to the hour previous to the time of her father was buried. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. A. Fleanming ,pastor of U.B. Church at Adaville and he was laid to rest beside the remains of his wife and daughter.
