Johannsen on May 27, 1956, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston. She died in 1991. He graduated from Goose Lake High School. He farmed in Bryant. He was very involved with the church and also served as Sunday school superintendent for many years. He was active in the Preston Lions Club and was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 363, Clinton. He received a plaque from the American Red Cross for 10 years of service as a blood drive coordinator. He also was involved in various card clubs. He was preceded in death by his wife and one brother.
