Ellson, 64, 1012 Wilson, passed away at 8:30 this morning at his home of carcinoma, after an illness of two months. Mr. Ellson was born July 28, 1877 [1879], in Dallas county, Ia. He came to Gilbert in 1929, where he farmed, and later moved to Ames in 1936. After coming to Ames, Mr. Ellson was a barber at various places for 13 years and also worked at Iowa State college. He was married to Anna G. Johnson, March 4, 1902, at Story City, Ia. Surviving Mr. Ellson are his wife; one son, Gerald R. Ellson of the United States Navy, San Francisco, California, and two daughters, Mrs. Ira Meyer of Blairsburg, and Mrs. Ralph Ihns of Ottumwa. ----- Milepost Ames, Iowa Thursday, December 9, 1943 Deaths in Story County Edward A. Ellston, aged 64, died yesterday morning at his home, 1012 Wilson ave., following an illness of several weeks. He moved to Gilbert in 1929 and to Ames in 1936, working at his trade as a barber, and also worked at Iowa State College. Edward was born in Dallas county, July 1879. He was married Mar. 4, 1902, in Story City to Miss Anna G. Johnson, who survives him. Others are a son, Gerald R. Ellston, of the U. S.
