Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. at Wagner Funeral Home in Central City, with Trent Wagner officiating. Burial will be in the Burke Cemetery. Mr. Lovejoy was born on July 24, 1952, to Howard and Ila (Kuhn) Lovejoy in Grand Island. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Dixie Pierce-Lovejoy; his children, Christopher (Deborah) Lovejoy of Central City, Jack (Jennifer) Lovejoy of Polk, Matthew (Laura) Lovejoy of Central City, Donald (Mary) Johnson of Iuka, Ill., James Campa of Paso Robles, Calif., Mark (Karen) Campa of Central City, Peggy (Bob) Flath of Portland, Ore., Carlos (Sandi) Campa of Kearney, Patricia Campa (Elwin Beed) of Palmer, Deij (Kirk) Clauff of San Ardo, Calif., Cynthia (Dennis) Catlett of Central City, John Campa, Billy Joe Pierce of Orlando, Fla., Patricia (Todd) Schlachter of Hastings and Curtis Pierce of Hordville; 40 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Randy (Nancy) Lovejoy of Vacaville, Calif.; and three sisters, Carolyn Kohl of Central City, Vicki (Dave) Thomas of Central City and Linda Lambert (Lewis Barnett) of Hordville. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Margaret Lewellyn of Hordville. Edward grew up in Central City and Paso Robles, Calif., receiving his education in both locations. He entered the United States Army on Feb. 9, 1970, serving during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on Feb. 24, 1972. He was united in marriage to Norlea J. Inscoe on Sept. 4, 1971, in Annandale, Va. To this union, 3 children were born, Christopher of Central City, Jack of Polk and Matthew of Central City. Edward then married Dicey J. Herrera on April 27, 1979. Dicey died in April of 1993. He married Dixie Pierce on Oct. 23, 1999, in Hastings. Edward lived in California, Virginia and in the Central City area. He was employed by Thunderbird Boats and the National Forest Service in Virginia. Ed loved to cook and spent time as the Head Chef of the Black Oak and Little Acorn Restaurants in Paso Robles, Calif. He spent many years working in the manufactured housing business for Atlantic Homes and Bonnavilla. Edward enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and doing things with and for his family. He made sure to pass on his love and knowledge of cooking to his sons. Edward was preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Dicey; infant brothers, Chester and Daryl; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Kohl; a nephew, David Kohl; a grandson, Joseph Lopez; a great-grandson, Christian Campa; a great-granddaughter, Jozie Campa; and a daughter-in-law, Linda Pierce.
