Description	:	BEEMER — Services for Edward Stutzman, 79, of Beemer will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Beemer Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the Beemer Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home in Beemer and will continue on Sunday one hour prior to service at the church. Mr. Stutzman died on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at the Pender Community Hospital. Edward Brian Stutzman was born Feb. 24, 1926 to Edward and Lydia (Wittrig) Stutzman near Beemer. He was baptized at the Plum Creek Mennonite Church, rural Beemer. He attended Beemer Public Schools. Ed moved with his family to Broken Bow and later served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He returned to Beemer and was united in marriage to Evelyn Oswald on Oct. 31, 1948 at the Plum Creek Mennonite Church. Ed worked for various feed lots in Cuming County, before opening an upholstery store in Beemer. He relocated the store to Wisner and operated it for several years. He was last employed for Bellar Feed Lots prior to retiring. He was a member of the Beemer Mennonite Church and was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Evelyn Stutzman of Beemer; brother, Louis “Doc” and wife Dorothy Stutzman of Las Vegas; sisters Evelyn and husband Francis Bellar of Wisner, Anna Mae and husband James Oswald of Beemer; sisters-in-law, Alice Stutzman of Winfield, Iowa and Millie Stutzman of Beemer; several nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Glen, John, Leslie and Harry Stutzman.
