Description	:	OTTUMWA Edward C. Brooks, 90, of 114 E. Alta Vista died July 20, 2005 at Vista Woods Care Center. He was born Nov. 7, 1914 in Ottumwa to Clarence E. and Minnie E. Odem Brooks. He married Margaret P. Lennon Nov. 29, 1934. She survives. He graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1933, was a member of St. Mary of the Visitation and the Knights of Columbus. He was an electrician, retiring from John Morrell. Survivors include two sons, a daughter, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Brooks; a brother, Harold O. Brooks and a grandson, Jeffrey. Funeral Mass will be noon Saturday at St. Mary of the Visitation with Father Bernie Weir officiating and burial in Calvary Cemetery. Open visitation begins at 9 a.m. today at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home with family present from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Christian Wake service is 7:30 p.m. Today. Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Visitation or Hospice.
