He had been connected previously with the Atlantic Coast Lumber Corp. and with the Peoples Bank of Georgetown. Although he had been in ill health for some time, he seemed to be improving and had been able to continue his work through Monday. He was the son of Harvey Luther Orvin and the late Harriett Louise China Orvin. He was born in Lanes June 6, 1888. Surviving are his wife the former Miss Pauline Munnerlyn of this county; one son E. E. Orvin Jr., who is in the US Navy; two daughters the Misses Pauline and Frances Orvin all of Georgetown; two brothers C. L. Orvin of Winston Salem NC and B.L. Orvin of Georgetown; six sisters Mrs. R. A. Fletcher, Savannah; Mrs. W. S. Shackelford and Mrs. A. H. Brandt, both of Charleston Mrs. W. J. Caspell silecia MD; Mrs. Loucille Spigener Monks Corner and Mrs. A. H. Simpson Georgetown
