Edward Evenson was born in Bergen, Norway, February 25, 1856 and died September 19, 1920. He came to this country in the year of his birth with his parents to Stockton, Wisconsin. From there he went to Iowa, and about 38 years ago moved from Rock County, Minnesota to Grand Forks (ND) and later to Benedict (ND), where he engaged in Farming until taken ill with dropsy about two years ago. In June of this year, he moved to Kenmare. In 1899 he was united in marriage to Laura McCartney. Besides his wife he leaves two sisters, Mrs. Robert Marsh of Lostwood (ND), Mrs. Peter Aga of Sherwood (ND); two brothers, Albert Evenson of Lostwood and Thos. H.
