Description	:	Extracts from obituary - Edward F. Walshire was born in Lancaster, Ohio, July 10th, 1872, the son of John and Magdaline Walshire, and came to this place when five years of age. He was one of a family of seven children, six boys and one girl. Two small boys and the baby girl died many years ago. Walshire was born in Lancaster, Ohio, July 10th, 1872, the son of John and Magdaline Walshire, and came to this place when five years of age. He was one of a family of seven children, six boys and one girl. Two small boys and the baby girl died many years ago. Aaron Walshire, an older brother, died a number of years ago and Lew Walshire in World War I. Another brother, David Walshire, lives north from town. On February 21st, 1899 Edward was married to Celia O'Maley and to this union four children were born: John at home, Marvin "Ted" on a farm south from town; Paul of Cedar Rapids; Lieut. Cecil at Monroe, La.; and Mary (Mrs. Clarence Ward) at Clarence. Nine grandchildren also survive. In 1910 he purchased his farm a mile east from town. In October 1924, his wife died. Funeral services were held in St. Mary's church. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
