Zeman, 29, farmer living five and a half miles southwest of Elberon, committed suicide Wednesday evening, April 19, 1944 by shooting himself with a rifle. The body was found in a woodshed at the farm home by the victim's wife about 6:30 p. m. and Coroner Harvey Jones of Tama county was called to the scene.
