Description	:	Edward F. “Ed” Stewart of Ottumwa was killed instantly on June 27, 1977 about 2:30 p.m. when six cars of an eastbound Burlington Northern train derailed about four miles west of Albia. Stewart, the conductor, was a long-time employee of the railroad and was in his 41st year of service.
