Description	:	Edward Frank `Buster' Cody, 95, a lifelong resident of Jamestown passed away on February 16, 2017. He was born at the Narragansett Avenue home of his late parents Frank Willis and Adeline Ruth (Hustus) Murray Cody on June 16, 1921. He was step-brother to the late Arthur A. Murray of MA, the late Mildred M. (Murray) Streatch and the late Ethel D. (Murray) Dorr both of Jamestown and the late Gladys May (Cody) McCall of California. Read More	Edward Frank `Buster' Cody, 95, a lifelong resident of Jamestown passed away on February 16, 2017. He was born at the Narragansett Avenue home of his late parents Frank Willis and Adeline Ruth (Hustus) Murray Cody on June 16, 1921. He was step-brother to the late Arthur A. Murray of MA, the late Mildred M. (Murray) Streatch and the late Ethel D. (Murray) Dorr both of Jamestown and the late Gladys May (Cody) McCall of California. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara L. Barker. He was a graduate of the Carr school and the Thomas H. Clarke School and attended Rogers High School. He operated his own taxi service in the late 1930's that went from Newport to Wickford Junction until he entered the Armed Services in 1941. He attended the Army Air force B-24 Liberator bomber mechanics school and graduated as an airplane mechanic on April 24, 1944. He was discharged from service on March 31, 1946. He worked for multiple auto garages in Newport and Jamestown until he was employed by Sylvia's Garage in the late 60's installing heating systems where he retired after twenty years. He was a life member of the Jamestown Fire Dept. and served on various engines and was the Captain of the rescue in the 1970's. After his retirement, he volunteered at the fire department's museum providing tours and conversing with tourists on the week-ends. He was also a life member of the NRA and a former member of the Newport Rifle Club. He leaves three daughters, Linda L. Albaugh and her husband Jack of Jamestown, Roxanne R. Card and her late husband Alan of Coventry, Judith A. Wojciechowski and her husband Michael of Harrisville and a son, the late Robert Edward Cody who passed in infancy; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visitation, Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 10-11am followed by a Funeral Service at 11am in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Cedar Cemetery, Jamestown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Jamestown EMS, 50 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown, RI 02835 will be appreciated.
