Mr. Morris was born July 5, 1933, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Hedley L. Morris and Emma Lucille Coker Morris. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He retired from Vulcraft after 28 years of service, and he was a member of Shiloh Church of God of Prophecy. Until his health failed, Mr. Morris was an avid outdoorsman, fishing and hunting every chance he could. He was a friend to all and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He loved his family, His God and his church, and he will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Lazette G. Morris of Coward; daughters, Beverly (Tom) McClam of Coward and Cynthia Powell, also of Coward, and Teresa (Bay) Day of Scranton; grandchildren, Brad McClam, Kirsten Powell, both of Coward, Brandon Morris of Lake City, and Joseph Day, Nicholas Day and Alyson Day of Scranton; great-granddaughters whom he loved dearly, Keely and Talyn McClam and Bethany McDaniel-Morris of Coward; brothers, Bert (Shelby) Morris of Lake City and Glen (Joyce) Morris of Fayetteville, NC; and sisters, Grace (Joe) Richardson of Gresham and Mary (Roy) Phillips of Goose Creek. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda K. Morris; granddaughter, Kelly Jessica McClam; brothers, Rem-bert Morris and Harry Morris and sister, Shelder Reed.
