Vernon, Missouri, Thursday. The services were in charge of Dr. C. D. Loose of the Methodist church and burial was in the Nevada cemetery. The following life sketch of the young man was read during the service: Edward Harold Hennick was born November 30, 1919 at Nevada, Iowa. He passed away June 20, 1940 at Mt. Vernon, Missouri at the age of 21 years and six months. Edward attended school for three years in Nevada, finishing his last nine years in Neosha, Missouri. Throughout his years in Neosha schools he was an active member of all the musical organizations. At the age of 16, he graduated with the class of 1935. He joined the Methodist church in Nevada, Iowa, in 1926, later transferring his membership to the Methodist church of Neosha. Until his health failed he was active in all young peoples activities of the church. He became a member of the Grand Council of the Order of De Molay, December 10, 1935. Although Edward had been in ill health for some time, his passing came as a shock because even though his friends and family realized the seriousness of his condition, his cheerful smile and everlasting courage made anything but his recovery seem improbable. He was preceded in death by two older sisters, Hazel, who died July 6, 1911 at the age of 13 and Luciel, who died May 13, 1926 at the age of 23. Surviving members of the family are his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hennick and four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Irma Maxwell of Nevada, Iowa, Chester Hennick, Mrs. Feye Dunkle, and Herbert, Gurney and Hariette Hennick of Neosha. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
