Read More	Edward Henry Beers, age 85, of Osceola, Iowa, the son of William "Bill" Homer and Martha Annabelle (Brammer) Beers, was born December 3, 1935, in Decatur County, Iowa. He died at Westview Acres Care Center in Leon, Iowa Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Ed grew up in rural Van Wert, Iowa and attended West No. 4 Country School before graduating from Van Wert High School in 1954. He started out farming with his dad and later on his own. On September 22, 1956, he was united in marriage to Reva Fay Kindred at the Van Wert United Methodist Church. They made their home on their farm outside of Van Wert and raised their three children, Sheila, Teri, and Bill. All Ed ever wanted to do was to farm and he was fortunate enough that he was able to do it and never had to retire. He took great pride in his crops and livestock. He was a hard working, quiet family man. In his free time, Ed enjoyed square dancing and listening to music. Preceding him in death were his parents; siblings and spouses, Don and Mary Beers, Richard "Dick" Beers, and Merna and Frank Downey. Survivors include his wife, Reva Beers; children, Sheila and Kim Overton of Van Wert, Iowa, Teri and Joe Johnston of Osceola, Iowa, and Bill Beers and friend, Amy Hamilton of Leon, Iowa; grandchildren, Jason Overton, Megan Overton, Nick Johnston, Gage & Elizabeth Beers, and Trey Beers; great grandchildren, Ian Overton, Briley Overton, Dallas Quayle, Kaelyn Quayle, and Hazel Beers; sister-in-law, Marge Beers of Arlington, Texas; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
