He passed away Monday evening, Sept. 9, 1968, at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 11 days at the O'Leary Rest Home where he was a patient for the past three months and prior to that time at the Good Samaritan Village since August 26, 1965, with a lingering illnes. Read More	Edward Henry Felzien was born January 29, 1891, to Gustav John Christ and Wiebke Felzien at Bird City, Kansas (Cheyenne County). He passed away Monday evening, Sept. 9, 1968, at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 11 days at the O'Leary Rest Home where he was a patient for the past three months and prior to that time at the Good Samaritan Village since August 26, 1965, with a lingering illnes. Eddie was brought up in the faith of the Cheyenne Valley Lutheran Church where he was baptized on May 22, 1891, and confirmed his faith on March 3, 1907. In October 1917 he was called to serve his country in World War I and received an honorable discharge in May 1919. Upon his return, he became an active farmer and stockman. He was also an active member in the American Legion and later in the V. F. W. On February 20, 1921 he was united in marriage with Eva Marie Burr. To this union were born nine children, six boys and three girls, three of whom preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his wife, Eva, and children who are Ward of Benkelman, Nebr., Ilene Ochsner of Tribune, Iva Lovett of Satellite Beach, Florida, Ned of Wichita, Thomas of Orofino, Idaho, and James of Commerce City, Colo.; two brothers, Fred of Tigard, Ore., and Elmer of St. Francis; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Bracelin and Mrs. Margaret Firkins of St. Francis, Rosa Shoemaker of Wheeler, and Elsie Stowell of Medford, Ore., and fifteen granchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Charles, Louis and Frank. Honoray Pallbearers were Glenn Rogers, Hugh Mitchell, Dr. J. H. A. Peck, Grover Cook, E. L. Boardman and Rollie Owens. Pallbearers were Kenneth Felzien, Joe Shoemaker, Jr., Keith Bracelin, Vern Shoemaker, Harold Bracelin and Don Wieck. Services were conducted by Pastor Damrow at the Zion Lutheran Church Thursday, Sept. 12, 1968, at 2:30 p.m. Interment was in the St. Francis Cemetery. RELATIVES ATTEND FUNERAL Relatives from out of town here to attend the funeral of Ed Felzien were Mrs. Christina Zeisler of Butte, Nebr., Mr. and Mrs. Ben Littau, Mr. and Mrs. John Littau and Mr. Reuben Littau of Carle, South Dakota, Mr. Ted Littau and Mrs. Harry Legge of Curry and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Einsphar of Imperial, Nebr., Mrs. Raymond Kuhlman of Goodland and Mrs. Kuhlman of Kanorado. Also Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Ochsner of Tribune, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Felzien of Wichita, Mr. and Mrs. James Felzien of Commerce City, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. Ward Felzien of Benkelman, Nebr., Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Felzien of Orofina, Idaho, and Mr. Iva Lovett of Sattelite Beach, Florida.
