Description	:	Edward Jackson "Jackie" Walton, 66, of 311 Mill St., Monarch Community, Union, widower of Marquerite Dockery Walton, died Thursday afternoon, April 12, 2007. Mr. Walton was born in Union, July 27, 1940, a son of the late Jack Walton and Nellie Ruth Williford Walton. He retired from Torrington Co and had formerly worked at Monarch Mill. Survivors are: two daughters, Melinda Haney and husband Tommy, and Judy Lancaster and husband Ralph; a son, Eddie Walton and friend Rose, all of Union; a special friend and companion, Elnora Plexico of Union; a brother, Jerry Walton and wife Christine; a sister, Hazel Mills and husband Binky, all of Union; four grandchildren, Misty Haney, Christy Haney Garner, Kelly Walton and Ashley Lancaster; two greatgrandchildren, J.T. Gossett and D.J. Haney; a neighbor and special friend, Jackie Barnes of Union; and many special nieces and nephews. Mr. Walton was predeceased by a sister, Doretha White. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Brown's Creek Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. John Lee and the Rev. Ralph Brown. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Paul Dean Williford, Cecil Brown, Dennis Nix, Eddie O'Dell, Frank Pridemore and Joe Wade. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Brown's Creek Baptist Church Family Life Center, 118 Brown's Creek Church Road, Union, S.C. 29379.
