Madison, IA to Edward and Adalaid Bendlage Mansheim. On July 8, 1944 he married Iris Copper in Burton Latimer, England. Edward worked production at DuPont, retiring after thirty years of service. Mansheim, Jr, 93, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Thursday, May 09, 2013 at 5:20 AM at Sunnybrook Assisted Living. He was born on December 3, 1919 in Ft. Madison, IA to Edward and Adalaid Bendlage Mansheim. On July 8, 1944 he married Iris Copper in Burton Latimer, England. Edward worked production at DuPont, retiring after thirty years of service. He enjoyed gardening, John Deere equipment, making clocks and was especially fond of his grandsons. Survivors include his wife, Iris Mansheim of Ft. Madison; one daughter, Linda Molzhon of Ft. Madison one son, Roy E. Mansheim of Ft. Madison; two sisters, Evelyn Westfall of Ft. Madison and Alice Snyder of Burlington; two grandchildren, Sean Molzhon of Ft. Madison and Steve Molzhon of Patterson, MO; two great grandchildren, Brady and Madison Molzhan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. The family will meet with friends from 1-3 PM on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A rosary will be recited at 3 PM at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Mark P. Spring officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery with full military rites performed by the Ft. Madison Veterans Honor Guard. A memorial has been established for ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) or Sacred Heart Church. Online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com
