Description	:	The Kokomo Tribune, Kokomo, Indiana Friday, March 1, 1940 Sharpsville, March 1, Ed Wallpe, 51, died suddenly at 5:30 o'clock Friday morning at his home, one mile south of Sharpsville, of a heart attack. In ill health several months, he had been bed fast for the past few weeks, but the end came unexpectedly and without warning. Funeral services will be held at the St. John's Catholic church in Tipton, to which he belonged at 9 o'clock Monday morning. Burial will be in the Tipton cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the late home until time for the services. Born March 9, 1889 in Franklin county, Mr. Wallpe was the son of Mike and Carrie Wallpe. He moved to Tipton county 30 years ago and had lived on the place where he died for the last 13 years. He was married to Louise Ripberger, also of Franklin county, 23 years ago. Surviving with the widow are nine children. They are Mrs. Katherine Marschke of Tipton and Francis, Clarence, Anthony, Edward, Robert, Lorena, Bernice and Betty, all at home. One grandchild and a brother and three sisters in Franklin county also survive. A son preceded him in death. The sad news came as a shock to this community as Mr. Wallpe spent his boyhood days here, being the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wallpe. Those from here attending the funeral at Tipton Monday were Mrs. James Ertel and Mrs. Leo Gramman, Mrs. Clarence Holman of Oak Forest and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Wallpe and daughter of St. Peters.
