Saltzman Nov. 12, 1933 - Jan. 26, 2015 Edward Junior Saltzman was born Nov. 12, 1933, on a farm near Milford to Edward E. and Alice (Schweitzer) Saltzman, the seventh of eight children, and passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at Ridgewood Care Center in Seward at the age of 81. As a young boy he attended Milford Public School and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1953, serving until his discharge in 1957. Ed returned to Nebraska where he was united in marriage to his wife on Dec. 29, 1958, and to this union four children were born. Together they resided in Milford where Edward was employed at Schlegel's Grocery, TeSelle's Ford dealership, Russell Stover Candy in Lincoln, Gary's Refuse Service and Farmers Co-op until his retirement. Edward was a member of the Milford Mennonite Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and the competitive sports of archery and golf. Edward was a great dad and loving husband and family supporter. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, 2 daughters and sons-in law, 2 sons and daughters-in-law; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, 1 brother, many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, great-granddaughter, Gabriella Wood, son-in-law, Scott Kamprath, brothers and sisters-in-law, Clinton and Doris Saltzman, Glen and Donna Saltzman and Ina Saltzman, brothers-in-law, Earl Rediger and Conrad Osborne. Private family graveside services were held Jan. 30, at Milford Mennonite Cemetery, Milford. "Amazing Grace" was sung at the graveside and memorials can be directed in care of the family for later designation. Contributor: AJEofAquarius (48768340)
