The funeral was held at 10 o'clock Monday morning from the Menominee Catholic church, Rev. Father Hundt officiating. Mr. Lammers was the third son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Lammers, who were among the pioneer settlers in the northern part of Cedar county. They owned the property on which the St. Helena chapel and St. Helena Catholic cemetery are situated and both were buried in that cemetery. Mr. Lammers was married to Miss Louise Herber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Herber, on Oct. 21, just a short time before the date on which he was to enter military service. When the call was cancelled the young people arranged to remain at the Herber home until spring when they planned to go to housekeeping on his own farm. In addition to his young wife, Mr. Lammers is survived by three brothers, John L., Anton and Ign. F. Lammers and one sister, Mrs. Peter Bonertz, his step-mother, Mrs. Anna K. Lammers, of Fordyce and two half-brothers, Fred and Paul. The young widow has the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in her great loss. +++ Louise Mary Herber Lammers entered the convent in July 22, 1931 at St. Martin's Convent in Sturgis, South Dakota and changed her name to Sister Mary Paschual Lammers.
