Description	:	Edward L. Busta Sr., 94, of Lawler, died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at his home of natural causes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, with the Rev. Marvin Salz officiating. Edward's seven children will place the pall on the casket, as well as present the gifts during the mass. Music will be provided by Verda Mikota as organist, with vocalists Colleen Busta and Harlan Mikota. The Larkin-Martin-Hugeback Funeral Home in New Hampton handled arrangements. Ed was born Oct. 11, 1904, in Utica Township, the son of John and Anna (Kurash) Busta. He attended Utica No. 7 country school. Ed farmed east of Little Turkey, retiring in 1976 and moving to Lawler. Hobbies included playing cards, fishing, shooting pool and he especially enjoyed polka music, listening to it daily. He had been a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Little Turkey and was currently a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Lawler. Survivors include three daughters, Gladys and Richard Balik of Fort Atkinson, Darlene and Francis Gebel of Lawler, and Betty Busta of Lawler; four sons, Eddie Jr. and Geraldine Busta of Lawler, Arnie and Sandy Busta of Lawler, Bernie and Karen Busta of Waucoma, and Jim and Mary Lou Busta of Spring Grove, Minn.; a daughter-in-law, Angie Busta of Waucoma; a son-in-law, Ed Panos, Sr. of Lawler; 41 grandchildren; and 32 greatgrandchildren. Edward L. Busta Sr. was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elizabeth, who died Sept. 24, 1980; a son, Walter; a daughter, Lorraine Panos; a granddaughter, Bonnie Panos; and three brothers, William, Stanley and Leonard Busta.
