Description	:	Edward Lincoln Morgan, 67, of High Street, a native of South China, died Wednesday at a Pittsfield hospital after a long illness. He was born in Vassalboro, a son of Randolph and Iva Stone Morgan, and attended China and Vassalboro schools. He also attended Erskine Academy, South China. Born in Vassalboro on Feb. 12, 1931, he was the son of Randolph and Iva (Stone) Morgan. Edward attended schools on China and Vassalboro. He also attended Erskine Academy in South China. Edward had lived in Pittsfield for the past 30 years. As a young man, he worked as a woodsman with Edmund Dowe of South China. He also worked at Dowe's sawmill. Edward was a machine operator at woodworking mills in Newport and Burnham for many years. Surviving are his brother, Fred C. Morgan and his sister, Hilda A. Brown, both of South China and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Three sisters, Georgina Merrill, Frances Thomas and Lillian Sprague and a brother, John Morgan, all died previously. By request, no public services will be held. Burial will be later in Chadwick Hill Cemetery, South China. Arrangements are by Gray & Pratt Funeral Home, Windsor Neck Road, Windsor.
