Description	:	EDWARD MOUNTFORD: Edward Mountford, a widely known and very respected resident of the Camilla district, died at his home, lot 17, con. 1, E.H.S., Mono, on Thursday, Dec. 15th, 1927, within a month of his 61st birthday. His death came following but a week's illness of pneumonia previous to which he had enjoyed the best of health, having been seldom indisposed, the result of a clean and good life. Read More	EDWARD MOUNTFORD: Edward Mountford, a widely known and very respected resident of the Camilla district, died at his home, lot 17, con. 1, E.H.S., Mono, on Thursday, Dec. 15th, 1927, within a month of his 61st birthday. Deceased was born at Shropshire, England, and, until he came to Canada with the family in 1913, he worked in the coal mines of that district. He was married about the year 1890, at Montgomery, Wales, to Miss Eleanor Hayley, of Longdon Common, Shropshire. Their son, Edward, came to Canada eighteen months previous to the remainder of the family who settled at Elba, on the Prince of Wales Road, and later moved to Camilla, where they have since resided. Mr. Mountford was always a member of the Presbyterian Church, but in later years attended the United Church at Camilla and was associated with Burn's Church, Mono Centre. In politics he was independent. In England he was a member of Manchester Unity Lodge A.0.0.F. Besides his sorrowing wife, five sons and three daughters mourn the passing of a loving husband and father: Edward, of Whitfield; George, Arthur, William, Vincent and Miss Nellie, all at home; Mrs. Lionel South, Cardwell; and Mrs. Sam. McNeilly, Shelburne. One brother and one sister also survive: George Mountford, of Churchstoke, Montgomeryshire, Wales, and Mrs. David Morgan, of Rayton, Leicestershire, England. There are nine grandchildren. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon and was very largely attended. Interment took place in Shelburne cemetery. The Rev. S. G. Steele, of Camilla, assisted by Rev. Argyle Campbell, of Shelburne Presbyterian Church conducted the services, during which a touching duet, "We Musl Never Say Goodbye." was rendered by Messrs. A. Close and A Curtis. The flowerbearers were Messrs. F. Buchanan, E. Kendrew, A. Close, A. Curtis, W. Gallaugher, W. Parks, K. Henry. The floral tributes included: Pillows, wife and family, St. Andrew's Church, Camilla, and Burn's Church, Mono Centre; wreaths, the grandchildren, and the Clowes family; sprays, Mrs. J. Scott and the boys, Mr. and Mrs. T. A, Gallaugher, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Bailey and family, of Hamilton. Among those from a distance who attended the funeral was Miss Annie Bailey, of Hamilton.
