Description	:	Edward Oblander, 80, of 2057 Custer Ave., passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, in St. Vincent Hospital following a short illness. He was born May 1, 1911, in Garden City, Kan., the son of Fred and Anna Oblander. He move to the Huntley Project area with his parents as a small child and attended Worden schools. He farmed with his parents in Worden and on Jan. 31, 1932, married Alvina Miller in Worden. Read More	Edward Oblander, 80, of 2057 Custer Ave., passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, in St. Vincent Hospital following a short illness. He was born May 1, 1911, in Garden City, Kan., the son of Fred and Anna Oblander. He move to the Huntley Project area with his parents as a small child and attended Worden schools. He farmed with his parents in Worden and on Jan. 31, 1932, married Alvina Miller in Worden. In 1940, they moved to Billings, where Ed worked as a mechanic for Yellowstone County Implement until retiring in 1972. Ed loved to fish, camp and travel. He was a good husband, father and grandfather and was loved by all his family. He was a member of the Pilgrim Congregational Church. Survivors include his wife, Alvina; three sons and their wives, Allan and Evelyn Oblander, Jim and Patty Oblander, all of Billings; two sisters, Amelia Reiter of Worden and Freida Kindsfather of Laurel; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Pilgrim Congregational Church. Interment will be in Terrace Gardens Cemetery. Memorials to the Pilgrim Congregational Church, 409 S. 36th St. Billings, Mont. 59101. Smith Downtown Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
