Description	:	WILSON, Edward Oscar, 84, of Roanoke, passed on to his eternal resting place in heaven on Monday, November 15, 1999. He was a member of Garden City Baptist Church and VFW Post #484. He is survived by his wife, Renva H. Wilson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and David Thompson, Salem, Debra and Paul Slaughter, Baltimore, Md., Cynthia and Greg Reynolds, Roanoke; seven grandchildren, Erin Thompson, Samantha, Sarah, Scott and Stephanie Slaughter, Nicole and Chance Reynolds; one brother, Clifton Wilson; three sisters, Cuzza Perdue, Aliene Deweese and Lorraine Smith; and a number of nieces and nephews. Wilson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and David Thompson, Salem, Debra and Paul Slaughter, Baltimore, Md., Cynthia and Greg Reynolds, Roanoke; seven grandchildren, Erin Thompson, Samantha, Sarah, Scott and Stephanie Slaughter, Nicole and Chance Reynolds; one brother, Clifton Wilson; three sisters, Cuzza Perdue, Aliene Deweese and Lorraine Smith; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's South Chapel on Friday, November 19, 1999, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ray Frazier officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 18, 1999 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7to 9 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Garden City Baptist Church General Fund, 3536 Garden City Blvd., S.E., Roanoke, Va. 24014. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel.
