Mitchell, 62, Minneapolis, a former resident of Mason City and Dougherty, died at the General Hospital at Minneapolis Friday night. Funeral services will be at the Holy Family Catholic Church here at 9 o'clock Monday morning. Burial will be in the family lot at Dougherty. The body is expected to arrive at 1:40 o'clock Sunday afternoon by way of the Chicago Great Western Railroad and will be taken to the home of Mrs. M. Murphy, 232 Fourth Street Northwest, where it will lie in state until Monday. The rosary will be said there at 8 o'clock Sunday evening. Mr. Mitchell was born Feb. 3, 1870 at Charles City. He was married June 5, 1900, to Jane Frances Donnelly at Dougherty. Mrs. Mitchell died in 1916. He farmed near Dougherty until 1914 when he retired after which he lived at Dougherty four years. MITCHELL FUNERAL RITES HELD AT CATHOLIC CHURCH Funeral services for Edward P. Mitchell, 62, Minneapolis, a former resident, were held at the Holy Family Catholic Church Monday forenoon with the Rev. R.P. Murphy in charge. Burial was at Dougherty. Pallbearers were Eugene Ploung, Vincent Donnelly, Joseph Donnelly, Raymond Donnelly, Leo Donnelly and Emmet Murphy. Mr. Mitchell died at a hospital at Minneapolis Friday night. He formerly farmed near Dougherty.
