Description	:	Edward Thomas Franklin, 53, died at Bellevue hospital Saturday night after an illness since Dec. 26 with pneumonia. Mr. Franklin was born at Fairport, Ia., April 6, 1876. He married Millie M. Hubbard, Feb. 17, 1904, and two children were born to them; Vern R. Franklin and Edward L. Franklin, both of Muscatine. He later was married to Mrs. Dollow Bowker, May 30, 1926. Mr. Franklin came here from Fairport 33 years ago and had made his home here since that time. He had been employed at the Huttig Manufacturing company for the past 20 years. He was a member... He married Millie M. Hubbard, Feb. 17, 1904, and two children were born to them; Vern R. Franklin and Edward L. Franklin, both of Muscatine. He later was married to Mrs. Dollow Bowker, May 30, 1926. Mr. Franklin came here from Fairport 33 years ago and had made his home here since that time. He had been employed at the Huttig Manufacturing company for the past 20 years. He was a member of the United Brethren church. Surviving are his widow; two children, Vern R. and Edward L. Franklin, Muscatine; three step-children, Mrs. Carl Barton and Charles E. Bowker, both of Muscatine, and Mrs. Cecil Krouse, Rock Island; one sister, Mrs. Leslie Tutt, Muscatine; one half-sister, Mrs. Frank Houvenagle, Sweetland township; one brother, J. W. Franklin, DeWitt, Neb. The body was removed to the Hoffman Funeral Home where services will be conducted Tuesday by the Rev. Ira Hawley, pastor of the United Brethren church.
