Description	:	WATMORE, EDWARD — Edward Watmore, son of James and Vicila Watmore, was born March 28, 1880, near Shickley, Neb., and passed away January 26, 1973, at the Fillmore County hospital in Geneva at the age of 92 years 9 months and 28 days. On June 2, 1908, he and Gertrude Meyer were married at the Charles Meyer home in Madison township and to this union were born two children, a son, James Edward, and a daughter, Marjorie. Read More	WATMORE, EDWARD — Edward Watmore, son of James and Vicila Watmore, was born March 28, 1880, near Shickley, Neb., and passed away January 26, 1973, at the Fillmore County hospital in Geneva at the age of 92 years 9 months and 28 days. On June 2, 1908, he and Gertrude Meyer were married at the Charles Meyer home in Madison township and to this union were born two children, a son, James Edward, and a daughter, Marjorie. Mr. Watmore was a lifetime resident of Fillmore county. He loved his home, his neighbors, and the occupation of farming-which began for him at the age of 18. In 1966 he and his wife moved from the farm home to Geneva and in August of 1972, became residents at Heritage of Geneva. Mr. Watmore was preceded in death by his parents and all nine of his brothers and sisters and his infant son, James Edward. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Gertrude; his daughter, Marjorie, and son-in-law, Millard Bennett; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at the Farmer-Harris funeral home in Geneva Tuesday, January 30, 1973, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Woodrow W. Wilson officiating. Pallbearers were Fred Hildebrand, Harry Kelch, Dennis Kimbrough, Robert Lovegrove, Everett Nichols and John Taylor. Burial was in the Geneva cemetery. (Source: The Nebraska Signal, February 8, 1973)
