"Mr. Edward Webster, a pioneer of Benston, who has been ill for the past two years, died Sunday of a paralytic stroke. Deceased was 63 years of age. Burial was made at the Muck Cemetery. A large number of beautiful floral offerings were sent by his many friends who held him in high esteem. He leaves, to mourn his departure, a wife, four sons and four daughters. The daughters, Mrs. William Whitman, Alice, Amy and Hazel. The sons, William, Walter, Thomas and Daniel. Funeral Services were held Tuesday." Obituary: Possibly published in The Eatonville Dispatch. OLD RESIDENT DIES OF PARALYTIC STROKE Had Lived on Farm in Pierce County For Forty Years Edward Webster, a pioneer living at the Muck creek crossing of the road going to Mount Tacoma by way of Benston, died at noon Sunday of a paralytic stroke. He was 63 years of age and had lived for 49 years on the farm where he died. Besides his wife, Louisa, he leaves four daughters, Mrs. William Whitman, Alice, Amy and Hazel, and four sons, William, Walter, Thomas and Daniel Webster. The funeral will be from the residence Tuesday morning at 10. Interment will be in the cemetery at Muck under the direction of the Buckley-King company. Note: Error made in obituary on wife’s name, which was Alice Louise Webster.
