Nelson Heesch Funeral Home, DeWitt is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Edward Claussen was born on January 28, 1917, to William and Helfred (Larson) Claussen in LeClaire, Iowa. He married Clarabelle K. Puetsch on September 28, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa. He was a farmer and owned and operated Claussen Welding Shop in the McCausland area for many years. He retired in 1979. He was a volunteer fireman for the McCausland Volunteer Fire Department for more than 30 years. He served numerous terms on the McCausland City Council. Surviving are his wife, Clarabelle; sons, Clarence "Sonny" and his wife, Connie, Platteville.
