Services were held on Monday, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, with the Rev. Walt Wolff officiating. Burial will be in the New Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Hazen. Edwin was born in Beulah on March 21, 1913, the son of John and Magdalena Kuntz-Sailer. He grew up and attended school in rural Beulah. On Jan. 17, 1937, Edwin was united in marriage to Helen Becker. Together they made their home north of Beulah where Edwin began his farming. In 1945, he bought a farm north of Hazen, where they lived until moving to Hazen in 1959. After moving to town, Edwin was a partner in the M&S Implement dealership, until purchasing the Phillip 66 Station in 1961. He continued to operate the station until 1965, when he was employed by the United Power Association, where he worked until his retirement in 1978. Edwin was a member of the I.B.E.W. He enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle, fishing and also playing pool. Edwin loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Helen; one son and daughter-in-law, Hubert and Marilyn Sailer, Stanton; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Richard Jacobson, Hazen; one brother, Oscar Sailer, Bismarck; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Dale; five brothers; one sister and two great-grandchildren. ============================
