He died Sunday, May 22, 2005, at Fremont Area Medical Center. He was born Dec. 15, 1923, in rural West Point to Robert and Theresa (Harstick) Ortmeier. Ortmeier, 81, of Fremont will be at 10:30am Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. He died Sunday, May 22, 2005, at Fremont Area Medical Center. He was born Dec. 15, 1923, in rural West Point to Robert and Theresa (Harstick) Ortmeier. He farmed near West Point until moving to Fremont in 1968. Survivors include: his wife: a son, Leon Ortmeier of Fremont; and a brother, Dennis (and wife, Roseann) Ortmeier of Omaha. Visitation will be from 1-9 pm Wednesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont and will continue one hour prior to service time at the church. A vigil service/rosary will be 7:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
